The Red Sea has been one of our favorite get-away destinations for long weekends. It is 3.5 hours away from Amman and has great scenery and plenty for the kids to do.

If Gaby ever complains about having to wear modest swimsuits, I will reminder her of swimsuits that conservative Muslims wear (shown above). 
One of the advantages of a small country like Jordan is that every time we've gone to the Red Sea, there have been several other families from the kids' school. They've always had plenty of friends to keep them entertained.
