Library of Love Project

Gaby at the orphanage in Guadalajara, Mexico

We have been working all year on a project for the orphanage back in Guadalajara.  We applied and received a private grant to build the orphanage their own library of books.  The 140+ orphans have no books.  Gaby and her fabulous teacher Ms. Fisher had a great idea to have her school do a book drive as well.  We did not have too high of expectations to be honest, so were we surprised by the response.  Even though this is a lower income area the kids donated a lot of books.  It was a great experience for Gaby.  She made posters and really got the kids excited about doing service.  Looks like she is following in her Nana Robinson's footsteps.

We brought all the books to her class and they helped to label and organize them.

These girls were more interested in Colin than the project.  Too bad the feelings were not mutual.  He just wanted to play with the class car collection!
